Since the upgrade to 50, has anyone been able to get the installation of the drm plugins to complete so that one can watch Netflix? On my system it has stayed stuck at saying that it is installing the components and to try again later.

firefox-51.0 is now available to upgrade to.
mozilla doesn't seem to have a 51.0 release notes page yet but the beta release notes are up here if you wish to peruse.

The latest firefox-52.0 is available to upgrade to.
Like thunderbird, this one got the same security fix so upgrading is recommended.
CVE-2017-5400: asm.js JIT-spray bypass of ASLR and DEP
JIT-spray targeting asm.js combined with a heap spray allows for a bypass of ASLR and DEP protections leading to potential memory corruption attacks.

We also made a slight edit in one of the config files to solve a problem with widevine.

This update is good for MX-14,15,16 & MEPIS 12.

It seems this new version also requires pulseaudio as a dependency, otherwise sound won't play in it. We already have pulseaudio preinstalled in MX, but we should still have it in there in case an M12 user, or an MX user that's removed pulseaudio, installs it and wonders why sound doesn't work.
