MX 15 Repository: The palemoon thread

#1 Postby mmikeinsantarosa » Wed Oct 14, 2015 9:27 pm

palemoon-25.7.2 is now available for download.

Release notes:
25.7.2 (2015-10-02)

This is a stability update, addressing 2 critical hangs:
Fixed a critical hang caused by recursive reloads that might happen in iframes if its hash changed.
Fixed a critical hang caused by lazy-loading of stylesheets through a specific web programming technique as advocated by Google's PageSpeed.

Check out the palemoon site for more information.

Well, the last one I sent up and that I can see in our MX 15 repo is 25.7.2 :confused:

I was just looking into building 25.7.3 as it was just released today.

Pale Moon: Release notes

OK, I must have got a bad download for the tarball of palemoon-atom 25.7.2; I checked and it was missing those files, so I am uploading packages of 25.7.3.

Mike, make sure you read the file in the /debian folder about the palemoon 7z source, since you will have to extract it, run that command as noted, and then recompress it to an orig.tar file.

I'm starting on the M12 builds if you want to do the MX 15 ones.

I'm not nit picking, but why do we have an MX-15 repository when there is no MX 15 yet?

How would we test installing packages on MX-15 alpha if there wasn't any repo for it? Not as easily as with it.
MX-14 on a Via Eden 1GHz CPU thin client, 3GB RAM, Via VX800 chipset, Via Chrome9 HC GPU, 32GB M.2 SSD;
btrfs with @ and @home subvolumes for MX-14;
added @antiX and @antiXhome subvolumes and copied antix 13.1 base into them, adjusting Grub from MX-14.

We are testing the alpha versions of MX 15 right now, so it does exist. We probably will have an open beta once we polish up the alpha.

Also AntiX 15 includes the MX 15 repo in the sources, though it may be disabled by default.
