Updated to the newest 15.2 release.

So far, it will also build on M12/MX 14, but always crashes immediately (segfaults) for me. It may need a newer mesa library, like we have in the experimental repo, to run correctly, much like vlc-2.2 does.

I am running MX-15 and I think I have the test repository enabled, but I don't see Kodi when I look for it in Synaptic. Am I doing something wrong? After looking at the manual I am thinking I am correct but maybe there is another repository? thanks

Check your Preferences/Distribution Tab. Set the preferred distribution to prefer MX. Reload. It should show up then. Be sure to change the preferences back
Yes, even I am dishonest. Not in many ways, but in some. Forty-one, I think it is.

I have been using MX-15 64bit Final for a few days now and with Kodi installed and it runs fine on my 2 machines. We've watched about 5 movies on it without a glitch.

I did not have to make any changes in synaptic repositories/preferences. Just searched for kodi and installed.

Thanks Stevo...

It's actually in the main repo now, since we moved most backported applications there before the final release.

Nathan, have you reloaded Synaptic since MX 15 was installed? That needs to be done to get the full package listing.

Not only is it working, and very well, but I am finally able to get the USTVNOW plugin to work, out of the box, which I've never been able to do in the past. Thanks again!

I've just sent Kodi 16.0 "Jarvis Mark XVI" to Tim for the test repository, so it should be showing up there soon. 15.2 graduated to the main repo some time ago.

(Is this some sort of Conky theme?)

There's a good write-up of the new features and fixes here: https://kodi.tv/kodi-16-0-jarvis-mark-xvi/

This was built by reusing upstream Debian's 16.0-rc3 debian folder, which was close enough to the final release to not need any changes.

As usual with packages in testing, we appreciate any feedback about the install and performance of the program, so it can graduate to the main repo. Thanks!
