The version in our standard repo is 16.1+dfsg1-1mx150+2
in the test repo 2:17.3+dfsg1-1mx15+1.

I do not know what the latest version from Kodi sources is, but the one in the test repo is the latest available in MX sources.

BTW I am not a Kodi user, just picking up what is available for MX.

You have right. I'm not familiar with MX package installer and when I put the mouse cursor on kodi related packages, shows me 16.1 from stable repository. I installed it and I see now that 17.3 version is installed. Also now when put the cursor on it says 17.3 which means that it shows the installed version, but this is confusing if the package isn't installed yet.
Thanks for the help.

Agree may be confusing. The highlight shows what is in the stable repo, the entry in test repo is what is to be installed.

If case anyone is confused, Krypton is the release name for the Kodi 17.X series.

Hi everyone. I installed kodi and got version 14.2. I did a little research and saw 17.3 was available in mx test through the package installer. I've uninstalled it and reinstalled 17.3 a couple of times but keep getting 14.2 installed. Can someone help me please?

You probably have the deb-multimedia repository enabled. They used a little trickery with the version number to make their older Kodi look like it's newer.

You can use Synaptic to see what 14.2 version you have. If it has "dmo" in the version, that's the problem...and we don't recommend you leave deb-multimedia enabled, either.
