missing gpg key?

#1

Post by mmikeinsantarosa » Mon Feb 01, 2016 10:48 am

I tried to update an m12 VM this morning and checkaptgpg couldn't find one of the keys.

Code: Select all

Checking main.mepis-deb.org_mepiscr_repo_dists_mepis12cr_Release
gpg: requesting key 3B07EE13 from hkp server keyserver.ubuntu.com
gpg: keyserver timed out
gpg: keyserver receive failed: keyserver error
I did reinstall the debian keyring.

I added the mepis12cr to my MX15 install, and deleted the 3B07EE13 key to create the GPG error

Code: Select all

apt-get update...
Reading package lists... Done
W: GPG error: http://iso.mxrepo.com mepis12cr Release: The following signatures couldn't be verified because the public key is not available: NO_PUBKEY 0CA321713B07EE13
Checkaptgpg fixes it here:

Code: Select all

sudo checkaptgpg

Checking iso.mxrepo.com_antix_jessie_dists_jessie_Release
    Good GPG signature found.

Checking iso.mxrepo.com_mepiscr_repo_dists_mepis12cr_Release
gpg: requesting key 3B07EE13 from hkp server keyserver.ubuntu.com
gpg: key 3B07EE13: public key "MEPIS Community Repository (CR Signing key) <repo@teharris.net>" imported
gpg: Total number processed: 1
gpg: imported: 1
Does your network maybe not allow you to access the keyservers?

There's a post Tim made when he first announced the M12 CR repos that has a file you can manually download to install the key, give me a little time to find it.
