BIG HUGS! - I really missed this community! (Mepis)

#1 Post by rollerskate »

I just signed up for the forum, and wanted to drop in and say hello! I used to be a part of the Mepis community way back when... unfortunately Mepis got too old for a lot of my hardware, and I had to move away shortly before it was shut down. I was really excited to learn about the MX project! :)

I just installed MX, and I must say....

- I absolutely LOVE the small footprint!
- Adore the return of the classic Mepis installer!
- True to its roots: lots of helpful little configuration tools around, I see...
- You actually found a way to make me LIKE XFCE. Thumbs up!

This overall feels like a complete up to date version of the old Mepis! I love it! Thank you SO much for bringing my favorite distro back from the dead! <3

JAJAJA... The important thing is that MX is fresh and rising in statistics.
