Pulsemixer in Ubuntu Mate as a snap?

I took a look at the github page: https://github.com/GeorgeFilipkin/pulsemixer

and it's a simply python3 script that would be a "snap" :p to package in the normal Debian manner. I wonder how big the snap package is compared to the tiny normal deb package that would result. I was thinking of packaging it myself, but can't really see any advantage over pavucontrol for GUI users. Maybe it would be of use if you run exclusively on the CLI, though. I know they say it's just a test of the snap package system, but I think other packages would be more of a test.

I have tried pulsemixer in other distributions. package is small, but python dependency adds a lot
functionality is same as pavucontrol, so agree not really any advantage
