I've just updated youtube-dl and successfully downloaded a video from YouTube. The version is 2015.05.15

I knew it. An evil version of you from the future, no doubt with an evil goatee!

Anyway, there's already a lengthy thread about Youtube, SMTube, and Minitube here on the forum.

For Minitube, you can use the 32 bit deb from the minitube homepage which has the developer's Google API key compiled in. 64 bit requires a newer libc6.

There's a new SMTube 15.5.10 in the test CR which also fixes the problem, and can be configured to download the videos with an external agent such as uget.

Yes, the new Minitube version 2.4 works very well with the modified YouTube. It's nice that you can play YouTube videos from within Minitube itself instead of having to open an external media player to watch them. You can also use a download agent like fatrat by selecting "Video > Copy the Video Stream URL" from the drop-down menu and pasting the URL from the clipboard.

You didn't slow down because you're old; you're old because you slowed down.

Looks like go to here and look for this (see image)

the 32 bit button gives you a minitube.deb file download. And from there run gdebi.
