Printer configuration problem

#1 Post by Toastrack » Tue Nov 11, 2014 7:49 am

When I use the configuration system to configure or change my printer details, I keep getting the message:-

Error Option 'cpi' has value 'Notimplemented' and cannot be edited.

This appears twice for each printer when I try to edit or exit. I have searched and found two config pfiles with the string 'Notimplemented', but I don't really know how to go from here; I'm not skilled to try and edit python etc.!!

The printers seem to work ok, but I'd really like to tidy this up as it can be unnerving.

MX-14?

If so, what release are you using? This was a bug (that still exists in some other newly-released distributions!) that was fixed.

It doesn't happen here on a current MX-14.2 release.

I'm using M11 with all the automatic updates included.

If it's a bug and causing no loss of performance, then may be I should just ignore it? I'll await knowledgeable comments.

My MX14 shows this symbolic link

Code: Select all

file /tmp
/tmp: symbolic link to `/var/tmp'
If you have that too, try this solution: http://antix.freeforums.org/post37895.html#p37895
Male is the capital of the Maldives and its wonderful people.

I have that symlink as well, but no such error. I wonder why it shows up sporadically. Maybe I am not understanding what "the configuration system" refers to exactly...
