A bit closer to the OP... MX is one of the very few distros to still offer conky-manager. The conky-manager dev left his conky work several years ago; and so far as I know, no one has forked it. Personally, I'm using polybar to provide similar data (to that tracked in Conky) on my tiling manager systems.
