So you have imported the key but not available.
Let's check it :

Code: Select all

apt-key list 1548008281
Gigabyte Z77M-D3H, Intel Xeon E3-1240 V2 (Quad core), 32GB RAM,
GeForce GTX 770, Samsung SSD 850 EVO 500GB, Seagate Barracuda 4TB

The two gpg-signing keys mentioned with the thread MX15/16 signing keys are those,
listed by those command

Code: Select all

apt-key list 452F0C20 14E225A0
which gives this output:

Code: Select all

apt-key list 452F0C20 14E225A0

So of you have those imported already not clear, why you still get an expired key error.

Looks like you need import those two keys again cannot see those keys.

Here a short variation
with this you'll get the first one:

Code: Select all

wget -q http://teharris.net/mx15repo.asc -O- | sudo apt-key add -
and now run again:

Code: Select all

sudo apt-get update
You might still get an expired key error. Now let's import the other one.

Code: Select all

sudo apt-get -y install antix-archive-keyring
and run again

Code: Select all

sudo apt-get update
Check you have both keys:

Code: Select all

apt-key list 452F0C20 14E225A0
pub dsa2048 2014-01-21 [SCA] [expires: 2021-01-20]
      C8CF 3513 60C3 7394 5178 8AE5 81E7 7EAF 14E2 25A0
uid [ unknown] MX Community Repository <repo@teharris.net>

pub rsa2048 2013-03-13 [SC] [expires: 2021-05-01]

uid [ unknown] antiX (antix repo) <repo@antixlinux.com>
sub rsa2048 2013-03-13 [E] [expires: 2021-05-01]

Thanks a lot - that's done the trick! Reloaded without error.

Why was mine in such a mess?

BTW after the last apt-get update
Configuration file '/etc/apt/trusted.gpg.d/antix-archive-keyring.gpg'
==> Deleted (by you or by a script) since installation.
==> Package distributor has shipped an updated version.
What would you like to do about it ? Your options are:
Y or I : install the package maintainer's version
N or O : keep your currently-installed version
D : show the differences between the versions
Z : start a shell to examine the situation
The default action is to keep your current version.
*** antix-archive-keyring.gpg (Y/I/N/O/D/Z) [default=N] ? Y
Installing new version of config file /etc/apt/trusted.gpg.d/antix-archive-keyring.gpg ...
Given the situation it seemed wise to choose "Y"!

Yes. Not sure why it has to be provided as a config-file, instead as a normal "replace this file" update.
For config-file apt tries to be polite and tend to ask... :snail:
