launching wordpress

#1 Post by Moltke »

Hi everyone! Hope you're all having a nice life! I just installed wordpress using apt via terminal but can't seem to find it anywhere in the menu, launching from terminal does not work either. What am I missing here? Thanks for your answers.

Wordpress is website software. You should access it through a browser. Hopefully you have all requisite LAMP/WAMP software on your PC or it won't run at all.

I've been running it from my browser but I thought the thing you install from the repositories was a desktop client but it's not. I was looking for something like this https://apps.wordpress.com/d/linux-deb/

I don't use wordpress.com (I self install and host my 18 WordPress sites). But having said that, the *.deb file you mentioned installs and runs fine on my MX18 desktop. It shows up in my xfce menu.

So does here. That's what I wanted from the very beginning. 18 wordpress sites? That's like a lot lol
