Help with the instalation of OneDrive client

#1 Post by ruidias »

Hi all!

I'm basically 1 day old into MX Linux, and I am loving it. But today I've encountered some problems while trying to install an OneDrive client.

The public repository is in:
https://github.com/abraunegg/onedrive

The installation process finishes without errors, but when it comes to the part of enabling the service I can't move forward. With some research I discovered that MX doesn't use systemd, uses sysvinit. So my first thought is to follow the tutorial, trying to activate the service updating the init.d file.

The thing is, there is no command "chkconfig". And when I try to run "service onedrive start" I get the following message: "onedrive: unrecognized service". Any thoughts?

Thanks in advance!

I strongly recommend to wait for "InSync for OneDrive" (see https://www.insynchq.com/onedrive) which should be available very soon as beta version.

Every other OneDrive clients for Linux are pretty unstable ...
