(solved, sortish..) Mouse arrow size not changing after adjusting

#1

I tried changing it in mouse and touchpad, no dice.
I also tried adding Xcursor.size: 32 parameter to .Xresource file and rebooted, no dice.
I tried changing the theme, no dice.

Oh wait!
After some fiddling and random pressing of buttons, there is one thing that apparently does work.. sorta.

Go in the settings of the mouse, to the size, and then hit the up arrow on the number. You will see the size won't change, until you hit a certain number (different per theme) where it suddenly jumps up in size. That 32 I mentioned earlier simply wasn't big enough for it to change.

The default one has three sizes IIRC, my oxygen theme has two.

So.. it DOES work, but.. yeah. Ehhh.. you know.

At least I am not losing the mouse arrow anymore now. It's the size of a wheelbarrow ;)

Yes, this has always been the way it works. to some extent. They do not do continuous scaling. The oxygen cursors in particular seem to have two sizes tiny and huge, Others sets have intermediate sizes but still not continuous scaling.

Too bad.. the numbering really makes it seem like it should be that way.

I encountered a lot of messages reporting things as not working. I found this size thing out by accident really.

On a single monitor a small cursor is fine.. but once you start going to bigger screens and multiple ones at that.. yeah.. I had to move it to the top regularly to reduce the search area
