MX 17.1, Firefox and backspace button behaviour

#1 Post by Raitsa » Fri Oct 05, 2018 7:38 am

Hi guys.

For years I have browsed the internet with Firefox browser, with the mouse on my right hand and if needed, backing to an earlier URL with the left hand by pressing the backspace button on the keyboard.
Now that I am using MX Linux & Firefox, the backspace button does not and has not worked when trying to go back a page.

To cure this, I have tried installing a few addons to modify the backspace button behaviour but that has resulted in some other strange button behaviour and therefore I have removed all the button addons I have tried.

Whats going on, any tips on what to do to be able to use the backspace button as I did for years before?

You don't need add-ons, you can change the settings for the backspace key from within Firefox:
