Nautilus add and removes tags. But how to search. Supposed to show "tags" in right-click menu??

Installed: tracker and tracker-gui
Does it need "nautilus-extension", not in mx repo?

1) "tracker-gui" includes nautilus-extension, that's solved.
2) "tracker-needle (by tracker-gui) runs Desktop Search.

Desktop Search lists added tags and shows number of files in each tag. But tags are not active.... in grey colour. What's missing??

Did a test in Debian 9 Gnome distro. Desktop Search works.
Does it means in MX requires gnome-shell??

If I get Desktop Search to work, its a great tool to organise files.

Gnome-shell is not enough. Did a test on another MX machine and installed full gnome, +300 files. :) Desktop Search works!!!

1) Add tag with Nautilus.
2) Edit, change and search with Desktop Search (aka tracker-needle).

IMO best tags software. You can move and edit a file without losing the tag(s).
Note: Desktop Search does not find tagged folder.

HELP: What are minimum packages to run Desktop Search without installing full gnome?

PS. There is no harm in installing Gnome in MX, works well. With lightdm switch the desktop.

Package tracker-miner-fs was missing.
Tracker works independently. Nautilus is not needed. Manage tags by running "tracker-needle".

# sudo apt-get install tracker tracker-gui tracker-miner-fs
