Can I lock Audio settings?

#1 Post by gonzo01 » Sun Jul 29, 2018 8:51 pm

I have a desktop PC setup with MX 17.1 for my wife who mostly uses it for web surfing and Facebook and Facebook Messenger.

The audio settings are continually "lost" in regard to the Microsoft web cam which is used for Messenger. The person on the other end of Messenger cannot hear the audio.

I currently have the audio set up correctly, verified by using the web cam with Audacity to record and playback my voice using the webcam.

How can I "lock" the audio settings so that they cannot be changed accidently or by updates?

Thanks i advance.
