Monitor configuration

My monitor is acer AL1914 1280X1024.Unfortunately I cannot configure it to this analysis from the 1024X768

The output of below in a terminal

inxi -F 
(paste between </> tags) may be helpful to indicate your hardware, including graphics support.
Some graphics cards like NVIDIA might require some tweaking, for example.
Also, have you selected the corresponding monitor in Settings-Display?
