[Solved] Help with Synaptic "Could not download all repository indexes"?

#1 Post by rej » Sun Jun 10, 2018 12:24 pm

Synaptic Reload Failure notification "Could not download all repository indexes"

I have several devices running MX17.1 and AntiX17.1 and getting this notification on both. Network connection is good.

Never saw this before.

After a reboot, the same problem accord. I was able to get the MX-Tools, and used the Check Apt GPG to correct this. Problem solved."

---------

I could not find "Check Apt GPG".

Any help with this would be much appreciated.

Thank you.

Maybe it is because the antiX repo is down.

Maybe it is because the antiX repo is down.
I've noticed some problems the last 3 or 4 days with the antix.daveserver.info repos on my MX-16.1 install.

Code: Select all

E: Some index files failed to download. They have been ignored, or old ones used instead.
Currently the mirrors, such as: deb http://iso.mxrepo.com/antix/jessie/ jessie main, (for MX-17 replace 'jessie' with 'stretch'), load okay, but eventually they might not be be able to get synced correctly if they can't access the antix.daveserver.info repos, which are the upstream rsync source for the antiX mirrors.
