From https://techterms.com/definition/backup
A backup is a copy of one or more files created as an alternate in case the original data is lost or becomes unusable.

not true my friend in a real backup like a windows system you dont see the files , you must first set that backup , back that you see your files so luckybackup is not a backup tool ,its makes maps or files on another system or usb harddrive but they are vissible so that is not good and not a real backup .
ask any windows user , or you have never make a backup before ...

if you take a backup from your firefow of your passwords you can not see it two you must first put that backup ,back in firefox , its the same on a windows system that is a real backup

I backup my files to a cloud service, i can see them. It is a backup. Whether they can be seen or not is immaterial.

@jurgen69:
You don't have to!

The name of the tool is a name, not more!
The real magic of that tool is, that it is based on such mystifying thing called "rsync".
It can synchronize source and destination tree's of thousands of files across a networks,
and will only transfer fractions and parts of files ( even fractions of binary files)
which have changed! Would you call it copy?
I would have called "luckysync" - but thats sounds not well, does it?
To have an idea what rsync can do have a look here:
https://nl.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rsync
Luckysync :happybday:

this linux distro makes real backup and can restore the whole damn linux distro in 1 click .

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uhR6HPVVoGk in a windows system its just the same backups you can not see any files its a hidden backup file that you must place back first (it can only place back with that tool , but like i say it is a good tool luckybackup ,but it makes not real back files

You need first read about rsync, to understand what it does. And remember Linux is based on files, and you will not find a better tool than rsync creating backup of files! OK new name: what about "luckyfilesync" :p

Your definition, not mine. But I will stop arguing as it is a matter of semantics.
Oh Oh, now I am worried if I lose my files I do not have a backup and cannot retrieve them.
