Wow. The weather code is one thing (teobigusgeekus' scripts are always reliable and I've been using his old version for a few conkies), but when combined with that glossy background and HTC icons.... :number1:

I'll certainly check it out when I have the time.

asqwerth, thank you very much for your good words.

only, because of the conky enthusiasm, here again another configuration with the weather script of Teo :bagoverhead:

That's the nicest conky I've seen yet. :happy: Is it possible to remove the seconds from the time? Does it always look like that, or is it transparent so it adapts automatically to whatever background the user has on their screen? I noticed that you have the weather showing up for several days which implies the utilization of a specific location. Is it fairly easy to change the weather locale per person and their location? And where/how would the script have to be implemented, to have this show up with the other conky themes in MX Linux?
Sorry about all of the questions. I don't know anything about conky, except that it has useful information and looks cool. :p

Your thanks go to Sector11, from whom I learned all this. :number1:
linwinux wrote:Is it possible to remove the seconds from the time?
This time is not included in the original script. I inserted it to see the last update of the data in Conky.
Does it always look like that, or is it transparent so it adapts automatically to whatever background the user has on their screen?
The transparency depends on this -->Pit_stop
I noticed that you have the weather showing up for several days which implies the utilization of a specific location. Is it fairly easy to change the weather locale per person and their location?
The own location is to be determined by entering the city on http://accuweather.com Copy the resulting browser line into the script from line 152. Teo's location Kastoria is to comment out (#).
And where/how would the script have to be implemented, to have this show up with the other conky themes in MX Linux?
There are many ways to start a Conky. The easiest way is to start the desktop environment autostart. Here for example my entries in the startup script of antiX under Fluxbox.

Code: Select all

...
sleep 2 && compton &
sleep 6 && conky -c ~/.conkyrcx40 &
#sleep 8 && conky -c ~/dk75_S11/ncal_awk.conkyrc &
sleep 8 && conky -c /DATEN/Abgleich/Conky/Conky-Kalender/2016_S11.conkyrc &
sleep 10 && conky -c ~/1_accuweather/.conkyrc_1_weatherfont_simpler &
...
Crazy Conky users, who want to make more than 10 Conky's appear with the system start, can use the package wmctrl and the ingenious script of Sector11.

I thank you all. ;)

@male
So glad your here I have learnt lots from you..
As a big plus for MX you don't even have to use compton.You can just use xfwm for (xfce) Compositor.Work fine for system wide transparency.
