Loss sound quality [SOLVED]

I had two files update this morning and some were removed after that my sound went from great to bad.Both the players i have sound bad now.Is their away I can find out what files had been changed... Thanks

Synaptic, File - History.....shows update history.

MX Tools, Select Sound might be an option, if more than one sound card is present.

Some how my sound setting had changed to PCH intel.....from US2x2..
