Firefox Sound Notifications

#1 Postby bonbonboi » Sun May 07, 2017 6:36 am

Hello, I don't hear any sound notifications when I get messages or notifications on Facebook, on Windows (at work) I get those sound notifications, but at home (MX) no sound notifications, I have no clue where the issue is :frown:

Not enabled by default: use MX System Sounds to enable and select. Check Help file if you have questions.

MX System Sounds: type it in the menu or go through MX Tools.

Note 1: what you get with Windows has nothing to do with what you get with MX Linux, they are completely different systems.

Note 2: not all sounds may be available for the sound set you use, you will have to explore and play around a bit.

I'm not comparing between Windows and MX Linux, It's just a personal inquiry, hopefully someone got an idea about it before I mess with stuff. It's mainly related to Firefox as I think, any way I'm going to reset FF's pref.js and test again.

About MX Tools, I've tried to install packages through it, and it failed. I'm going to install pkgs with command line, as I always do before MX Tools. Even PepperFlash gives a failed message, any way what I understood about MX Tools, it is an Assistant, but things could be done else where.

Well, we are certainly interested in getting to the root of your problems with MX-Tools, especially if we can reproduce them. Can you start a thread for each issue? You don't have to have them all at once.
