At a simplistic level, yes. One of my test machines, Dell Inspiron 20 model 3043, has a touch screen and I can navigate on the screen and do simple stuff, but hardly ever use touch...as a user, I default to mouse.

Daily: MSI 890FXA-GD70 | AMD Phenom II X6 1055T | GeForce GTX 750 Ti | 8G
Test: Dell Inspiron 20 3043 | Intel quad N3530 | Intel Atom Graphics | 4G
Test: Thinkpad T431s | Intel i5-3437U | Intel 3rd gen Graphics | 4G

I currently have MX16 installed on a Panasonic ToughPad which is a touchscreen. Works just fine.. Need to install keyboard, which does pop up every time a screen is opened which uses text entry. The keyboard also has predictive text for words.

MyDell XT2 with a Wacom Pen can run MX-16 just fine and dandy with "onboard" keyboard. Mouse clicks on wacom pen work also.

Same can be said for my M&A companion netbook touchscreens that run "onboard" keyboard also.

Glad to see you made it Mystified.

Touchscreens are just kernel related. MX uses a new kernel. Hence Touchscreens are supported.

Might want to start a new thread just for starters.
Maybe over here viewforum.php?f=107

Include the inxi report like you did in the post here. Just be nice enough to paste it in between code tag brackets. The code button on the reply tool bar is there for that reason/function.

Also include in your new thread <readout pasted in code tags also>

Code: Select all

dmesg | grep usb

Edit: Be sure and include that you did a md5sum check of MX iso before doing a install or running live.
