Lazerjet Pro MFP M125nw Scanning

#1

Post by VegasAngle » Sat Jan 26, 2019 6:04 pm

Have installed printer and have a scanning error

If I use Xsane, or GIMP I get an error message error during cms conversion could not open scanner ICM profile.
If I scan with simple scan it works
If I scan with gscan2pdf I can change it to PGN and it works also...

Open Xsane. Under Preferences uncheck Enable Color Management
Xsane should then be able to scan. IIRC, Gimp uses Xsane as a backend to scan so that should work for it as well.

I just wanted to try this but 2.10 doesn't even have a scanner option. Just an FYI.

Solved: install xsane and xsane-common

It's just not where it used to be. If you have Xsane installed, it's at:
File -> Create -> Xsane
It probably doesn't show up if Xsane is not installed.

Indeed it doesn't. I have installed it now and it shows up.

Works too, just tested.

I hope a solution for the OP can be found!

Thanks so much.

Unchecked Enable Color Management in Xsane and both GIMP and Xsane now scan in color...
