Tried all of the above.

Have now tried 2nd PC also running MX17 - checked cables etc
Added HP DeskJet 2050 with new ink cartridges.

Is "seen" but wont print (except for Self-Test) - Message "Not Connected" Print Jobs cleared

Below is info from Printer Settings

Both Printers were recently working on same systems

OK, just download Pardus 17.4-xfce amd64 iso and burned to disc

booted into live mode

went to "print Settings"
New Printer - Find
found Fuji Xerox Docuprint P265dw
appsocket/jet direct network printer via DNS-SD
Generic Driver (recommended)
PCL 6/PCL XL (recommended)
Printer Name FX Docuprint P265-dw

Printed test page without problems

None of the above works/is available in MX 17.1

Thanks

fehlix

thanks - will try ASAP.

Menwhile, realised printer has both an ethernet connection AND a usb connection..

Set up printer with USB and works fine.

Perhaps ethernet problem relates to hardware - will try different cable and network switch etc and post again.

Funnily enough, as mentioned earlier, works fine with PARDUS live and also with SparkyLinux, which I have installed - both Debian spin-offs

Still prefer MX

#/etc/hosts

# The following lines are desirable for IPv6 capable hosts
::1 localhost ip6-localhost ip6-loopback
fe00::0 ip6-localnet
ff00::0 ip6-mcastprefix
ff02::1 ip6-allnodes
ff02::2 ip6-allrouters

Segmentation fault
-----------------
$ lpinfo --include-schemes dnssd -v
network dnssd://FX%20DocuPrint%20P265%20dw._pdl-datastream._tcp.local/

Is it opening or not? Do you see the Printers maintenance page?
