An admirable idea, but the user-base for any individual distro is probably too low to be useful. There are some thoughts about a database of Thinkpad compatibility as quite a few regulars use them.

Perhaps you might like to check if your machines are included in this link, and add them if not:

Test machines:
32-bit non-PAE - Thinkpad T41, 1.6GHz Pentium M, 1GB RAM.
32-bit PAE - DELL Latitude D610, 1.73GHz Pentium M, 2GB RAM.
64-bit - Lenovo T61, 2GHz Core 2 Duo, 2GB RAM
64-bit - Gigabyte Z77P-D3, Intel i3-3220, GeForce 8400 GS, 4GB PC3-12800.

Yeah, there seems to be no interest anyway... I'll clear my post - please delete the thread - thanks

We are currently working on an update to the Thinkpads MX Wiki page after a request from forum users (see Thinkpads thread). Regrettably, in spite of a couple of
requests for user information, there have been very few responses, also many forum members do not add system and hardware information to their posts.

Am currently working through the results of a ' Thinkpad' search of posts over the past 5 years. Much of this is repetitive so it is taking some time to collate. Hopefully, next week, the Wiki page will be improved, but will be far from a complete listing, due to the paucity of data.

Primary OS : MX-17.1 64bit. Also MX17, Kubuntu14.04 & Puppy 6.3.

Many thanks Hierax. I have partly assembled your Thinkpad info' into a table for the MX Wiki and was hoping that other users might add more. but no. So I will finish it off and send it on. May be a fortnight or so before it is published.
