are there apple keyboards shown if you use

"sudo dpkg-reconfigure keyboard-configuration"

and follow the prompts. Somewhere in there you can choose the "model" of the keyboard.
lenovo ThinkPad T530 - MX-18
lenovo s21e - MX-18, antiX-17.3.1 (live-USB)
FYI: mx "test" repo is not the same thing as debian testing repo.
