Undervolting tools on MX

#1 Post by cyrilus31 » Thu Jan 11, 2018 6:06 am

I'm interested in undervolting my computers (not underclocking) so that I can use them with less power consumption.
Does anybody know how to proceed, which tools I could use on MX?
Note that I've never done that but from what I read it will not do harm and may turn out to be very useful.

Hmm, I've only done undervolting via BIOS settings. I did find some interesting results from websearch "linux undervolting cpu"
and discovered there's a lot of interest in undervolting, especially toward achieving the goal of extended battery runtime

Thanks Skidoo.
Yes I can do it via Bios but I'm so lazy I was thinking of a way to do it automatically :p
I will check all the websites thoroughly and give a feedback.
