Interlink Versapad screenshot MX-17 and others.

For first startup from Live USB see the screenshot. Units affected are Panasonic Toughbook CF-31 MK2, MK3 and several others.
As I understand it the kernel times out (hence nomux).

This works for me to get to a desktop with a working touchpad. On a LiveUSB with persistence or hdd install there is a fix.

Code: Select all

sudo echo "options psmouse proto=imps" | sudo tee /etc/modprobe.d/psmouse.conf >/dev/null
This creates a file /etc/modprobe.d/psmouse.conf containing "options psmouse proto=imps" (NO QUOTES)

Remember versapad is a ps/2 type "mouse". Synaptics drivers will not work. Once the psmouse.conf is saved to persistence or to a hard drive the install takes care of itself.
