xfce4-mixer mia

#1 Post by mmikeinsantarosa » Sat Dec 16, 2017 4:03 pm

MX 15/16 had 2 mixer controls; xfce4-mixer & pavucontrol. I don't see the xfce4-mixer in MX17. Did it get renamed or do we only use/offer pavucontrol now?

I don't think its packaged.

However, alsamixer is found in the Xfce Settings manager and the menu.

FYI: mx "test" repo is not the same thing as debian testing repo.

Aside from some translations, xfce4-mixer has not had any development for 2 years, and it depends on gstreamer-0.10 which has been removed from debian stretch. The XFCE4 team appears to be using the xfce4-pulseaudio-plugin instead.
