I just updated my systems to MX Linux 16 from LinuxMint 17.3.
My eSATA port was hot-pluggable when using LinuxMint, but now it seems that I need to have a
device plugged in and do a cold boot with MX Linux.
It is a eSATA/USB combo port (I rarely use it as USB, as I have enough USB ports).
I have pciehp.pciehp_force=1 in the grub settings, and an eSATA-expresscard works fine.
Has anyone had this issue? Is there a work-around or something that needs to be done to mark that port as hot-pluggable?
