(solved) No more sound in output sometimes

Post by zorzi » Wed Jul 11, 2018 4:43 am

Since a few weeks, I noticed that sound sometimes (once a week) vanishes on my desktop with no particular reasons, either with pc speakers or headphones.

When I go into xfce sound mixer and/or alsamixer, everything seems normal, sound seems to be played and output sound is "shown".

All I can do is restart my computer. Where can this come from ? Is my sound chipset becoming tired ?

Thanks for reading.

EDIT: after checking everything, it seems that speakers were just wrongly re-plugged. Will re-open topic if necessary
Desktop: HP Pavilion a6435 (Athlon64 2x 2,6Ghz, Radeon R7-240, Ram 4 Go, HD 500 Go) / MX Linux 17
