Crazysquirrel, could you also change your sig? PPAs are for Ubuntu and its derivatives only, we have our own system of repositories, and Multisystem is not in a PPA! They have their own repository, plus do not provide any source I can find for download. If they did use a PPA, they would be forced to expose their debianized source for an easy download and we might be able to port it and fix it for MX/Debian, but they don't, despite the their use of the GPL 3 license.

Mx 17.1, dual boot with XP Media Center Edition 2005, core i5, 4gb ram, 2TB hybrid Seagate + other storage drives.

I NEED MULTISYSTEM just like the one I can get for *buntu derivatives. NOT THE ISO ONE.

It refused to install from DVD so had to wipe a perfectly good and needed flash drive and put MX 18.1 on it then install from that.

1st thing I checked was to see if it played hevc out of the box. It did and mp4's too. But I used the tool and got the codecs it mentioned just in case.

It for some reason DEMANDS root password to access my internal storage drives. Have 2 fix that problem....

I made the initial backup iso with the codecs.

Going to see what else I can do to adjust it.

Need to get Opera installed - wife's favorite browser.
