antix or mx nvidia through hdmi port to tv with sound.

Post by bffarmer » Wed Jan 23, 2019 11:31 am

I used antix on my laptops and work desktop computer and am very happy with it.
I would also like to use antix (or mx) to run on my windows 10 gaming pc which uses an nvidia card to a tv set through hdmi with sound.
I've struggled with antix for a while, but couldnt even get the nvidia drivers to install properly through the control center and inxi shows the nouveau drivers as unloaded.
xrandr only shows a single resolution available on my gaming pc.
xrandr --listproviders shows no providers.

Is it easier to install nvidia drivers using mx?
Is there any way to get the nvidia sound to work properly?

Edit: never mind. If anyone wants to answer that's fine but I'm giving up on this distro for my gaming computer. I assumed it would be easy because the control center had "install nvidia drivers". I will still have it on my other computers unless I find a lightweight distro that is easy to set up on ALL my computers.
