With regard to uBlock Origin, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2lisQQmWQkY is highly recommended viewing.
Thank you for sharing. This thing is so good - unbelievable!
Indeed highly recommended. Very good explained
You would not get it if you only read through gorhill's very good documentaions and FAQ.

In addtion I do also "view" the webpages through umatrix, which gives a bit more details, but it's a kind of even for more advanced user.

For low powered old pc's which I prepare for relatives or friends I'm using sometimes just the advert-blocker which we have in populare apps, which is a kind of easy mode as it has most of the normal but important filterlists and does not require the browser to do the filtering.
BTW: I'm using more and more MPV by just dragging the video link into the mpv window, works great.

... never realised waterfox had been added to synaptic.
Well, you won't find it in synaptic. It will only show up in synaptic after having it installed through MXPI (MX Package Installer). ;)
I use AntiX and it shows in synaptic only not showing up at all in Antix package manager. But that ok i have used waterfox repository itself for a long time now and will keep using it thanks anyway..

By the way Thanks for a Great link on uBlocker ...

I used to use uMatrix before I came upon this guide because I felt uBlock Origin's default settings were a bit lightweight. When uBlock was fully explained I realized its potential and was delighted with its functionality. uMatrix was rendered redundant, so I got rid of it.

My own side-by-side test of the two Opera based alternatives showed that Otter tied up significantly fewer resources than Vivaldi, pretty much on a par with PaleMoon.

I primarily use Seamonkey on Debian using the UbuntuZilla repos:

https://sourceforge.net/p/ubuntuzilla/w ... stallation

I also use Firefox-esr as the number of machines I work on increase and I need sync feature.
I use Chromium as it has support for a two-factor auth addon which can scan the QR code and I use it instead of the smartphone => https://chrome.google.com/webstore/deta ... addinpkbai
Oh looks like the addon got renamed and ported to Firefox too!

Edit:
Firefox addon link:

Why use Ubuntuzilla when we have Seamonkey in our own MX repositories??

I am actually glad you had mentioned about Seamonkey in the first post @Artim.

Coming to my case, I started using UbuntuZilla long time back as I use Debian(I don't use MX) and wanted a simple way to get Seamonkey installed.
Btw, I am still not aware on what/how to use MX repos, whether I can use them on stock Debian without harming it, etc.

Is there a wiki or something about this?

It's probably safer to use MX repos on "stock Debian" than it is to use one made for Ubuntu users. A lot of Ubuntu stuff is incompatible with Debian! But MX is Debian Stable tweaked and tuned to perfection with an awesome tool chest added to make it usable by ordinary mortals.

@Artim,

Ok I am willing to use them, I got the wiki for MX-17 repos, but it does not mention the GPG keys to be used, you got some leads for this?

https://mxlinux.org/wiki/system/repos-mx-17

Pale Moon, with add-on NewScrollbars (set as Blue 17px width) to resolve a scrollbar issue with some Linux themes,
and Firefox's "Gloss Blues" browser theme which matches colors nicely with MX 16.1's default color scheme
