It irritates me that the browser which nearly always works flawlessly for me on Linux is Chrome. I hate all the Google spying, but I keep Chrome around for the inevitable times Firefox craps out on me. Firefox ESR is the only version of FF that doesn't cause drama. My own view is that when FF tried to be like Chrome with a rapid update schedule they ended up creating as many bugs as they fixed with new releases. Then again, Firefox works flawlessly on Windows 10 which further irritates me as it ought to work flawlessly on Linux :(

Chromium is now my main browser. I used firefox exclusively for many years but had to stop using it due to problems with jerky scrolling and video tearing which suddenly appeared at the point that they introduced CSD for linux. Prior to that it was fine. I still have ff on my machine for those rare occasions when chromium wont work well. FF updates come regularly but I've not had a single update for chromium since I installed it which i find strange.

My personal opinion is that firefox is not as good as it used to be. At least on linux anyway. Chromium seems faster and renders more smoothly on my machine.

Still Opera--since 2009. When you find perfection, you tend to stick with it.
