Here's a link to a folder on my Google Drive with a non-pae respin of MX 17.1: https://drive.google.com/open?id=1nOMAs ... XHvDAZDkZW Edit--wait the upload choked...reuploading missing files.Edit 2: OK, all are in, now.

Since the only other changes are normal package updates up to today, do we still call it unofficial?

I think this stance on 32bit should be pushed in the computing media and on Distro Watch as it is very good news for many older computer owners and it could even push Mint out of the fourth position!

Let us know how it works if you try the 17.1 non-pae respin.

Seems to me, Chief Commander of MX are using this thread, so I have an suggestion for you:
I used Xubuntu for the last years, but now I changed to MX because systemback doesnt work with Xubuntu 18. In an honourary capacity I recycle old computers for poor people, social projects and so on. For this, Screenshot is a very helpful tool, its the main reason for me to use MX. The only tool I miss by MX is the possibility to safe and export the display settings (like Xubuntu "Leistenschalter"). For my work it would be helpful to create different displays (for old users, Refugees ....). MX "Default look" allows only to safe one setting.
Thank you very much for your great work and the wonderful MX - distribution!

Would that be a good addition to the FAQ?

Q: "Lots of other distros are dropping their 32-bit versions. What about MX?"

A: "MX has no plans to discontinue 32-bit releases for the foreseeable future."

BTW, if all I do is switch the kernel to the non-pae 686 version and update all the packages to the current date, would a ISO of that still be unofficial?
Late getting this done, but I added it to the wiki FAQS.

@ fehlix
Thank you, but this is not what I mean. It should be possible, to safe complete different settings.

MX 17 has MX Tweak instead of Default Look which has a couple different preset and allows you to save your own configurations, as shown in the video linked above, potentially similar to Xubuntu Panel Switch/Leistenschalter since you can (I think) specify panel location... MX 17 non-pae iso is available here http://mxrepo.com/snapshots/?C=M;O=D if you like
