The way it looks to me is where the login screen is suppose to be there is a black screenwith the flashing cursed instead.
I am command line illiterate. :confused:

I'm more worried about why your settings control panel was blank when you were still running. many of those items depend on a home folder, as does the login from the cli prompt. so that's why i wanted to check to see if

Yes, it gives me my username with 2 spaces in between .ecryptfs

I don't know why they call it a smartphone when you can,t type correctly on it. It should be called a Stupid Phone. As for la -a /home returns the following. . .. crippled. .ecryptfs

Yes, the home folder is encrypted. No other messages.
