My question is :Is this a good tool?
Since it's installing an Ubuntu kernel built on an unknown version of such, it might create a gcc-version mismatch if you try to build the Nvidia proprietary drivers on its headers, the same as you get if you install Liquorix kernels from their official repo. There's a sort of technical way around that error, but lots of users just want it it to work without that hassle, like it does with our backported Liquorix. I think that the Nvidia drivers are the only ones with that error.

Virtual Box often doesn't build on the very latest kernel releases...4.18 isn't even released yet. There's an 4.18~rc5 kernel in Debian Experimental, but I don't see anything about patching VBox 5.2.16 for a newer kernel in its Debian changelog. The 4.17+ kernels are supposed to have built-in Vbox guest drivers already, too.

suggestions? by now...

PS 4.17.15-1 is fixed according to
https://security-tracker.debian.org/tra ... -2018-3620
Well, I'm backporting the 4.17.15 Sid kernel, but I'm not convinced that this new exploit is that much of a threat for desktop Linux users...but it's supposed to be pretty bad for servers.
