mx17 personal remaster looses installed printers

#1 Postby imafraidknot » Thu Jan 04, 2018 8:40 pm

Hej,

yesternight I mxed an mx17 live usb, started with persistence_all and proceeded like that:

Code: Select all

sudo apt-get purge thunderbird libreoffice* bluetooth bluez
sudo apt-get autoremove
sudo apt-get install cups-pdf lm-sensors xsensors
sudo sensors-detect --auto
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get upgrade

then added add-ons to firefox and 4 printers to the system.
Then I remastered it personal.
Restarted, switched off persistence_all and there were no printers at all. Video is ok s.a. viewtopic.php?f=104&t=43685 .

This way worked for me from mx15. Did I do do something wrong or is it an issue?

I'll try to check into this today. Its possible there was some change to an excludes file. There were some changes in the live system between the 16 and 17 series.

could you post the output of

Code: Select all

 cat /usr/local/share/excludes/*.list

also, what printer do you use?

FWIW, my HP setup survives a remaster.

It's HP, generic-pdf and two other brands.
