I think you are better off googling the question ;)

As the warning says in the video: check if this is your exact model.

And if you don't feel comfortable enough doing this: bring the thing to a shop and have them do it.

Note that some versions of the Ideapad use an eMMC drive, some an SSD, and some have the capability to fit either! Verify what your machine has first!

I do a lot of laptop repair, and looking at the manual for the Ideapad 110s, I would rate replacing the SSD as medium difficulty. The base cover has to be removed by undoing 11 screws, then using a pry-tool to lift the cover away. The battery then needs to be removed. (Two screws.) The SSD can then be be removed by unscrewing a single screw.

If you have no previous experience of this type of work, I would advise against trying to do it yourself.

If you decide to go ahead, a PDF of the hardware maintenance manual is available from the Lenovo website.

Out of interest, what are you trying to achieve? Do you want the ability to put the machine back to an 'as purchased' state in the futures?

Did you look on the Lenovo website for the hardware maintenance manual, as I suggested? There will be all the information you need in that PDF, including diagrams.

(Note my earlier remarks about the different HDD types used on this model!)

Could you clarify whether you are asking:

1. where you can physically locate the SSD in the computer?

OR

2. where to "find" it in the installer while you are installing MX17?
Desktop: Intel i5-4460, 16GB RAM, Intel integrated graphics
Clevo N130WU-based Ultrabook: Intel i7-8550U (Kaby Lake R), 16GB RAM, Intel integrated graphics (UEFI)
ASUS X42D laptop: AMD Phenom II, 6GB RAM, Mobility Radeon HD 5400

I did wonder, but the OP said:

so I hoped I had understood correctly.

Firstly qlh09, welcome to the MX User Group. You will get plenty of help here but in this case, we need more information.

1. Have you an ISO copy of MX already on disk or a USb drive ready to install?
2. Does your computer already have an operating system that plan to replace with MX ?

Installation is fairly easy with plenty of guide data to help you, but you'll need to decide on an installation starting point.

I am wondering why you need to know where SSD is ? It does not matter unless you are planning to replace it. All installation/removal of data is done with the SSD connected and computer power on.
Homebrew64 bit Intel duo core 2 GB RAM, 120 GB Kingston SSD, Seagate1TB.
Primary OS : MX-17.1 64bit. Also MX17, Kubuntu14.04 & Puppy 6.3.
Toshiba Portege Tablet MX16, WinXP.
