MX17 and Palemoon [Solved]

#1 Post by Gordon Cooper » Mon Dec 18, 2017 9:32 pm

Has Palemoon been deleted from MX17? See it listed in the Package Installer but it will not install and there is no sign of it in the repo. Can't find the new qttorrent
either.

It is installing for me. I had a problem with another package from the test repo that would not install until I rebooted. Maybe not the same issue but give a restart a try.

Tried restart rich, but no joy. Possible that the local repos (NZ) are still catching up so will leave it for a day or two then try again.

Mine could have been a repo issue as well I guess.

Can't find the new qttorrent either.
If you're spelling it that way, it's no wonder!

Wondered if I would get a comment about my spelling - was being lazy and not going back to check the name. However, had a careful search through the repos and
there is nothing appearing here (yet) related to the torrent program you are successfully running on MX17.
All I get is 3.3.16 for MX15

24 hours later. qbitorrent using qt5 has appeared in the repo but no sign of Palemoon yet. Held up by King Neptune at the equator perhaps.

It's been three weeks since PM 27.6.2 was added to the repo, and the MX 15/16 version made it into the NZ one the next day, so looks like something's haywire there. Can you switch to another mirror, or does that slow things down too much?

Thanks Steve. Palemoon is okay on the Utah mirror so will stay there meantime. Checked NZ repos, got a reply saying that some of the NZ stretch repos are missing the release files and repos wil not update,
