Panasonic Toughbook touchscreens on MX-17b3

#1 Post by tbuser48 » Wed Dec 13, 2017 2:00 am

If your touchscreen does not work with MX-17 try switching to TOUCHSCREEN in the bios.

The choices are AUTO/TABLET/TOUCHSCREEN/DISABLED.

MX-14 through 16 recognize the tablet bios. MX-17 does not.

Part of the problem here is a toughbook wants a Vista/W7 style TABLET.....so if you are dual booting it is a bit of a hassle.

I've tested CF-30 (Mk 2,3), 31, 52, 53 so far.....ummm I dual boot by swapping hdd's.

CF-30 Mark 1 requires a bios upgrade or downgrade to do the switch between touch and tablet so dual booting could be a real pain. (I'll test a MK 1 in a few minutes)

There is something missing or added lately to cause this behavior.

Any ideas?

Thanks.
