I know of Fedora users on linux questions that run HP Stream Laptops. So MX should be OK on it.

Only thing I would watch out for. Is a small cheap Windows 10 Netbook that runs 32 bit bios while being a 64 bit system/gear.
Hardware like that is tough. Windows centric and locked down. I know IBM made a few but cannot remember which models they were.

I have always had good luck with HP laptops, probably because the company started supporting Linux early with its drivers and software.

Other users have reported success with Lenovo laptops on the Forum, you might want to do a search on that.
Production: 4.7.0-0.bpo.1-amd64, MX-15 RC1, AMD FX-4130 Quad-Core, GeForce GT 630/PCIe/SSE2, 8 GB, Kingston SSD 120 GB and WesternDigital 1TB
Testing: AAO 722: 3.16-0-4-686-pae. MX-15, AMD C-60 APU, 4 GB

I have run Linux on a whole raft of Dell laptops, with no problems.

Dell used to sell some of their machines with Linux installed.

Don't buy windows pre installed laptop buy Ubuntu or DOS system because they will charge the cost for Microsoft also i think it is wasting money since you are not using Windows. Hope this helps..

Thanks..

I buy refurbished laptops usually Dell.

Pull the spinner and replace with a SSD.

I have no experience of the machines you refer to, but have read their specifications.

They seem to be what we used to call netbooks, upgraded so that they are (just) capable of running Windows 10.
They are powerful enough to run MX, but their storage is too limited to allow dual booting.

Assuming that you want to retain W10, you will have to run MX as a live USB; so you need to check whether their
BIOS can be set to boot from USB.
