Late to the party - this looks good

The last comment to that video lead me to this Dr. Frankenstein's channel:

Wow, look at some of the videos. This guy is a real ricer. So much for saying that MX XFCE has to be ugly or that Deepin can't be matched. Some of those videos are even in Virtual Box.

Those were impressive. I like customization, I'm not that big in it now. More of a simple guy. Mostly keep the defaults with a little tweaking. I do like my Window Managers, So I been playing with Pekwm on MX and come up with this. http://i.imgur.com/yfpp7gc.png I still go back to my Xfce default DE. But it's nice to change up a little bit. Pekwm is a great Window Manager. Found a workflow to use it efficiency. KDE is one of my favorite DE's. But I'm quite fawn of Xfce as well.Stevo wrote: ↑Wed Jan 09, 2019 9:47 pm The last comment to that video lead me to this Dr. Frankenstein's channel:

Re: Late to the party - this looks good
Peregrine got it on the website, looks pretty good:
https://mxlinux.org/download-links
It took a few seconds to show up, so we may have to tweak it a bit (?).

The embedded video also works fine here in Firefox.

Looks great on the download page.
Re: Late to the party - this looks good
I don't mean to be a pain, but I have a gripe.
I went to https://mxlinux.org/ to find https://mxlinux.org/download-links and it took me more than 10 minutes to find it. I was on the verge of giving up when I finally tried "Sources" from the "Products" menu.
As a suggestion, would it be possible for the "Download directly" link on the main page to be replaced with a link to the "Download Links" page since this links directly to the "Download directly" page?
Many more people will then find the "Download Links" page and its accompanying video, and they will have no problems finding the distro download page.

Re: Late to the party - this looks good
There should be a mxlinux.org/download and mxlinux.org/downloads redirects too

I agree.colin_b wrote: ↑Thu Jan 10, 2019 10:12 pm I don't mean to be a pain, but I have a gripe.

"Sources" sounds like the list of repositories used in MX Linux.
To add to the confusion, the repository list is also hard to find, unless you click on the Wiki page and search for it.

Re: Late to the party - this looks good
Sorry, but you must have better things to complain about than this. I posted a hyperlink, and all you needed to do was to click on it, or copy it and paste it in a browser. This user action is universal on the web, and the link may look different than the actual URL (look at the ones we use at the top, such as "BUGS"); this has been SOP since hyperlinks became widespread over 20 years ago. Finally, that link is identical to the one on DistroWatch's page, which tens of thousands of users have negotiated without problem.colin_b wrote: ↑Thu Jan 10, 2019 10:12 pm I don't mean to be a pain, but I have a gripe.
