I just saw a review by Mr Bezies that said the same thing (read using Google Translate).

Did you have the same problems and opinions he had about how MX-16.1 was still too much of an English-language-centric distro?

It's not that MX is too much English centric (you main developpers all all native English speakers if I do not mistake). What is stressed in his presentation is that you have to do something before having a full translated distro (LiBo and Firefox for instance are not localised at startup).

A question tho : why didn't you choose the 4.9 LTS Kernel for this MX 16 ? 4.7 isn't it a bit old ?
This is a point release, not a new version and such a major change would have required extensive testing over a much longer beta period. The 4.7 has worked very well for most users, and the Package Installer provides a single click to upgrade kernels for those who need/want to.
Yup, totally agree with Cyrilus about translation of Firefox and Thunderbird.
That's how it was for MX-16, too, but is certainly not the way we would like to have it be!
