In apt-cache policy output it should have a "+1" as you see in mine. (I forgot to change the link to the style sheet the first time...)
+1 in both.

Not urgent, but I think at some point most of the screenshots in the manual will need to be updated, some have the old style buttons, some are snapped with different themes or different text font size, it would be nice to have a consistent look all the apps with the default theme.

That's right, some work still remains to be done. We concentrated on updating the content for 16.1 because that was the critical aspect given the available time. Gordon is going to start on reviewing and replacing the images as needed.

About a consistent look:
--I like having different wallpapers, themes and icons myself, except where the image is explicitly supposed to show the default desktop. It also reduces the work enormously if we can retain images that are still accurate in content.
--Different users have different graphic setups (monitors, etc.), which accounts for much of the inconsistency. It would be a lot of work for one person to redo all 150 (?) images.

Is there any way to save my current look and feel?

Only thing that occurs to me is to create a separate MXUM user
and set it to one of the default light setups to begin taking shots.

EDIT: Looking closer at the MX Default Look, it seems possible to save a setup
and then return --back and forth I would hope. Less hassle than changing user.

You can use Default Look to make a backup of the Panel. Then, if not too late, say "No" (default) during the big upgrade to accepting the Developer's change. Once the Panel is restored from the backup, then you only have to go back to the theme(s) and icons. Can't think of anything else ATM.

Possibly hold upgrades to the MX Default Look?

If we should try to go this route, which would be the preferred look.
I actually prefer the MX 16.1 Default Light Theme or the dark one.
I'm currently using Greybird-MX16-Thick-Grip, Tango icons and Greybird MX16-thick-grip Style.

Have started on this update, been thinking about it for a while. Jerry wrote the MX-14 Manual single handed, since then it has been like Harriet Beecher Stowe's, character 'Topsy' it has just 'growed'. If only the Dev Team would stop making improvements, we might catch up with them. Seriously though, the images do need an update and I am working on them.
