Did you know that we keep a running list created from interesting and useful posts on the Xfce Forum?

The one I just put up there is a neat script that centers a window and can be assigned to a keystroke.

Re: Tips and Tricks from the Xfce Forum
Thanks Jerry for the reminder and yes, there are some gems (was going to say kernels but the pun would have been far too transparent) of knowledge in there.Did you know that we keep a running list created from interesting and useful posts on the Xfce Forum?
Re: Tips and Tricks from the Xfce Forum
@Jerry3904 - That's a neat trick, thank you.
Re: Tips and Tricks from the Xfce Forum
I guess info about plugin icon sizes needs to be added
some of those icons are from gtk3 panel plugins. In that case, you have options. Add the following to ~/.config/gtk-3.0/gtk.css:
For the power manager:
#xfce4-power-manager-plugin { padding: 2px; }
For the pulseaudio plugin:
#pulseaudio-button { padding: 3px; }
For the notifyd plugin:
#xfce4-notification-plugin { padding: 4px; }
Re: Tips and Tricks from the Xfce Forum
Nice tip. I did not have a ./config/gtk-3.0 file so created it.

Re: Tips and Tricks from the Xfce Forum
A comment on this: nothing *needs* to be added. It's editor's choice all the way, and there is exactly 1 editor for that file ATM. It would be great if others like you who peruse the Xfce Forum regularly could post suggestions here to add to that list.

Re: Tips and Tricks from the Xfce Forum
My favorite thing I got from there I detailed in this post: viewtopic.php?f=23&t=45293
Basically, the ability to refresh the clock after suspend. Idk how many people actually use the native panel clock though, in pre 4.13 panel there's a bug that makes it tricky to set the timezone. The workaround by the way is to edit the clock panel item properties by opening the panel preferences dialog from the menu and going to panel items instead of just right clicking on the clock item itself in the panel.

I do not fully understand your editor comment.

Re: Tips and Tricks from the Xfce Forum
Some nice tweaks there--thanks!
Re: Tips and Tricks from the Xfce Forum
I probably just used a wrong word. It was a simple suggestion (nothing like "editor must do this NOW!"), which may be beneficial for users with bigger panels.
