I have a small MSI Wind U100.
1) 32bit
2) Yes
3) Everything. Though it should be noted that the Atheros wireless card it has isn't the one it came with originally. The original card seemed to be broken (didn't work with the original windows 7 that was installed or with any distro I tried) so I replaced it with a wireless card from another dead netbook.

2) can you boot to the desktop? Of course! MX-14, MX-15, ...
3) what works OOTB? Honestly don't remember anything not working on netbooks other than Broadcom.
4) what doesn't work OOTB? Did you find a fix? Weird Broadcom easy to fix, thanks to MX-Tools
5) Comments (short) I have stopped distro hopping.

Re: Netbooks

Oops, I should have posted my September 2016 post ( viewtopic.php?f=42&t=40442&hilit=acer ) here:

Acer Aspire 1 nerbook

1) 64bit [Intel Atom N570] but it's not a powerful CPU. Installed MX14 (32-bit OS) on it.
2) can you boot to the desktop? Yes
3) what works OOTB? I think all standard usage does
4) what doesn't work OOTB? Did you find a fix? N.A
5) see quoted post below for comments - battery life is good
6) inxi -F
asqwerth wrote:I'm holidaying ... so I brought my father's Acer Aspire 1 netbook ... I'd installed MX14 ... on the netbook but never tested it out myself.

... it works very well. Sure, the Atom CPU isn't the fastest and the RAM is only 1 GB, but I've had absolutely no problems with it and battery life is excellent, with Firefox (2 - 3 tabs), Libreoffice and pdf documents opened.

I worked a total of about 4.5 hours on it this morning and there was still about 20+% of battery life left. I had a break in between, for breakfast and the suspend function worked fine when I shut the lid.

Disclaimer: The Acer is fitted with a 3rd party larger battery because the original battery died. But still....
